FAQ

Why should I go through Online Check-In?

The Rexall™ OneWalk to Conquer Cancer™ takes place in downtown Toronto and therefore requires a lot of planning. Online Check-in helps us confirm logistics sooner to provide you with the best possible experience and prevents you from waiting in long lines during event weekend.

What is delayed self-pledge?

The delayed self-pledge option allows you to commit to raising your minimum fundraising goal after the event with a $2 self-donation. This nominal self-donation will allow your credit card to be securely kept on file and charged for any balance required to meet the minimum fundraising goal six weeks after the event.

What is an instant self-pledge?

The instant self-pledge allows you to make a self-donation now of the amount required to meet the minimum fundraising goal.

40KM Walkers

We want to make sure that all of our 40km Walkers are informed and ready to make the trek safely and successfully on September 8th.
If you’re having doubts about being able to complete the 40km route, no worries! You can easily switch to the 25km or 15km route by calling or emailing our office at [416] 815-WALK [9255] or torontocoaches@onewalk.ca. For your information, you will be completing the 25km route first and then continue your walk on the 15km route.

Also, for the safety of our Crew, Volunteers and Walkers, a few rerouting measures will be put into effect during the event weekend.

The following stops will have cut off times, these are enforced when the 40km walkers continue on the last 15km loop of their journey.

Refreshstation A located at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Research Tower will close at 3:30pm

OneStop 1 located in Trinity Bellwoods Park will close at 4:00pm

Onestop 2 located at Fort York will close at 4:30pm

Refreshstation D located at HTO Park will close at 5:00pm

OneStop 3 located at St James Park will close at 6:00pm

Walkers who reach the above stops after the cut-off times will board the shuttle bus and will be transported to the last kilometre of the route to complete their OneWalk in time for the Finish Line Festival.

* The 40km route will permanently close at 6:30 p.m., so if you are committed to completing the full 40km distance, your target walking speed should be 5km/hr. or faster.
